Months ago a shot one of the 3 sister rocks at Tongaporutu in New Zealand. I decided to head back and shoot the other sister a few days ago. This has image is quite different to my sister 1 image. You could say, quite "experimental". via 500px http://500px.com/photo/93940663

Heart of Gold by EliaLocardi

While I was in Italy working with the Fstoppers team a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of putting my new Formatt-Hitech Firecrest ND filters to good use in Cinque Terre! I have to say that it’s incredible what kinds of in-camera effects can be achieved when you leave the shutter open for a few minutes at a time. This image was captured using a Firecrest 10 stop filter with a long shutter speed of 181 seconds. As you can see, the exposure was long enough to create a really beautiful soft water effect as well as long streaky clouds. Since the sun was just about to touch the horizon at sunset, there was still plenty of soft golden light accumulating on the rocks and the surfaces of the old Italian buildings. It’s a time of day photographers like to call "golden hour" and in my opinion, it can be one of the best moments for long exposure photography. During the golden hour, the light is soft enough to not cause harsh shadows but still strong enough to create even and natural illumination. Of course the golden light also does wonders to the color palette, which is a big plus. :) More information about long exposure photography and the new Firecrest filters: http://bit.ly/travel-filter-kit --- If you're interested in my work, feel free to drop me a line on Instagram or my website EliaLocardi.com. via 500px http://500px.com/photo/93752863

The Apostles of Ocean. by momentcatcher

The 12 Apostles on Great Ocean Road. The Twelve Apostles is a collection of limestone stacks off the shore of the Port Campbell National Park, by the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. Their proximity to one another has made the site a popular tourist attraction via 500px http://ift.tt/1CuUsCp

Potters II by GlennCrouch

Facebook : Aegir Photography Great sunrise at Potters Point with some fellow seascapers. Big swells kept us on tops of the cliffs and not down on the rock shelf. Some cloud post sunrise added a brief few minutes of colour in the sky. Nikon D800 & Nikkor 16-35mm, FIrecrest 16 stop IRND filter. The Road Runner by lolloriva

The beach of Breidamerkursandur in Iceland is one of the most amazing location for photography I've ever visited. It is an ever changing location, it is just matter of minutes and the same stretch of the beach changes with new icebergs coming from the ocean and different light. It is a real wonder for photography. The iceberg in the center of the frame inspired me the title I gave to this picture. In fact it looks to me like the famous "The Road Runner" from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. via 500px http://ift.tt/1uOWup0
