Warm Light vs. Cold Light by IwanGroot

The place is called Seceda peak, at Odle mountain ranges of Val di Gardena, in South Tyrol or Italy. I have used my Nikkor 14-24 2.8G 78 seconds and a large aperture to get the result. What made this mysterious look is the rapidly changing sky and long exposure. I have also shot a time lapse and also looking forward to post it soon. Virgilio la cita nell'Eneide, con Enea che la tocca due volte: la prima per la morte del padre Anchise, un anno dopo per i giochi in suo onore. Virgilio nel canto V racconta che in un'epoca ancora più remota vi campeggia Ercole stesso nella famosa lotta col gigante Erix o Eryx, precisamente nel luogo dove poi si sfidarono al cesto il giovane e presuntuoso Darete e l'anziano Entello. In antico, insieme a Segesta, che parrebbe di fondazione coeva, era la città più importante degli Elimi, in particolare era il centro in cui si celebravano i riti religiosi. Durante la prima guerra punica, il generale cartaginese Amilcare Barca ne dispose la fortificazione, e di qui difese Lilibeo. In seguito trasferì parte degli ericini per la fondazione di Drepanon, l'odierna Trapani. I Romani vi veneravano la "Venere Erycina", la prima dea della mitologia romana a somiglianza della greca Afrodite, ma Diodoro Siculo narra l'arrivo di Liparo, figlio di Ausonio, alle Isole Eolie (V, 6,7), aggiungendo che i Sicani «abitavano le alte vette dei monti e adoravano Venere Ericina». It’s at these times when photography can empower us to capture these moments and transform them into something more tangible - a single image that embodies the soul of our experience. Though we had exceptional weather throughout our entire Italy Photo Tour in May, this was by far my favorite sunset of the trip, and quite possibly one of the most spectacular sunsets I’ve ever seen in Rome. The colors seemed to last forever as the slow moving clouds twisted and transformed into interesting shapes.
