Ice and Fire by CNaene

Frozen Abraham lake in the morning at sunrise. For me, the stacks of ice bubbles here are very artistic and interesting. However, to stay still on the tiled ice was quite hard because it was so slippery! Anyways, that morning was one of the most memorable experience of my life because it was the coldest morning ever! Mt. Rainier's Cap by kspics

Christmas day, I was flying home and went right over Mt Rainier. I was so happy to see this rare sight... a Lenticular cloud on Mt. Rainier! Some of these lenticular clouds have actually been mistaken for UFOs because of their saucer-like shape appearance. Mt Rainier is such a powerful looking Mountain and I always love seeing shots of it and even more, the times I get to see it from the air when flying from Seattle! What a beautiful way to begin a Christmas day flight! :) via 500px http://500px.com/photo/93936755

The Big One by ryanwunsch

Large shelf cloud in Saskatchewan. I had flown home from work early and was on route from Saskatoon to Leader. I knew there was a storm in Alberta, I checked the radar but thought I'd miss it. That changed about an hour later, the storms had formed a squall line. I could see it approaching, and drove off the highway to find something in the foreground. This Canola field had to do. Taken 30 kms East of Kindersley Saskatchewan, at 8:40 pm, July 17 2014. The next day I read reports of 137 km/h winds and quite a bit of damage. via 500px http://500px.com/photo/93876397

Salagou, France This photo is very inspired by the awesome Ted Gore’s picture but, of course, his is way better (and besides, unfortunately, we don't have those cholla cactus in France) via 500px http://500px.com/photo/93745029

A brand new day by KunChen

Sunrise over the Golden Gate bridge at San Francisco. This is probably the most beautiful morning I've ever seen with my eyes. The first ray of sunshine was rising up right from the city of San Francisco and lighted up the fog under the bridge. via 500px http://500px.com/photo/93725859
