It was supposed to be cloudy day in San Francisco yesterday, so I decided to make the trip to the city anyway, and planned to visit the Point Bonita lighthouse near Golden Gate Bridge. Due to traffic congestion, the lighthouse was closed at 3:30. So I decided to try out the SCA trail (~2.5 mile one way) to find the spot I have always wanted to go. Along the trail is winding road and steep hills, and THE spot is hidden behind the top of a very steep hill, which I thought it was the end of the trail. From this spot, I could see both north and south towers forming a straight 180 degree view line, while the most pictures taken are from side. I was on the way to the top of the mountain on a cloudy cold day when I suddenly dropped into this piece of heaven. It felt like I found the entry to Narnia. Unfortunately I was not prepared enough, because I did not reckon finding some place like this. The light was magical and warm, inside there was nothing else than silence and freedom, only the rustling of leaves in the cold wind jolts you out of dreaming. I've never seen in my life such peaceful atmosphere in the forest, so in retrospect, I am very happy that I went out (despite the bad weather in the city) and was able to experience only a few hundred meters further up this amazing kind of natural spectacle.
