17 March 2015 - Intense aurora activity in the southern hemisphere put on an amazing display tonight, and this was seen in many places where the aurora isn¬タルt usually visible. I raced out to the south coast of Wellington, New Zealand to attempt to capture some of the action. There was a strong cold southerly wind blowing, and the aurora and night sky were often covered by clouds. But eventually, there was a break in the weather, and I was able to capture this image of the Aurora Australis beyond the clouds.
