Please press H and M for a BETTER View. Due to the recent rain and unusual early warm weather, the desert of southern California exploded with wild flowers. The seeds of these flowers may lie in the ground for many years. They will not germinate until there is sufficient moisture and warm temperatures. The seeds are genetically pre-programed to germinate only when there is enough moisture in the soil to sustain them long enough to produce the flowers that will produce more seeds. The entire cycle can occur within a period as short as one or two weeks. Once the plants produced flowers and their seeds have fallen back to the ground, their job is fully accomplished. via 500px http://ift.tt/1CG9pD5
