It was the first January at 3 o’clock in the morning when we started our way up the mountain to reach this place on the photo. My sister wanted to experience once a little photo-adventure and so I decided to take her with me. At minus 20 degrees Celsius we went up the mountain with our snowshoes for 3.5 hours. And my sister only asked me: „Will we reach the place you mentioned?“. I only answered „Don’t talk too much, safe and focus your power because you’ll need them yet! And yes hi hi hi … to reach that place you only need a bit of skill, strength and humor but a lot of concentrated power of will!“. At 7 in the morning we finally reached the place. And everything was still dark and very cold! I quickly made a short Striptease to change my wet clothes and later we both prepared the tripod with our cams. After that I took care of our dogs’ paws. Walking for so long in the snow can provoke ice formation, which can be very painful for our dog Giorgio. I massaged the paws of Giorgio with a special oil. This oil prevents a bit the formation of ice. I think he liked it and I think also he felt like being in a hotel he he he :-) And then we waited! The sunrise would be more or less at 8 in the morning, and we wanted to take some Long Exposures beginning just a minute or two before the sunrise. So we had to be very carefully with the time! And then the sunrise came … and we counted together from 10 to 0 to start our Long Exposures!!! Oh boy, what a beautiful experience we had in the cold … it was heavenly! via 500px http://ift.tt/18bel4F
