
Still, i have not captured really interesting new crystals: this winter starts not too good for snowflake photography in Moscow (when it's cold, there is almost no snow; when there is snow, it's too warm and it melts quickly). But one day i captured some big fernlike dendrites like this crystal. I tried slightly different shooting: snowflake stands on it's edge on DVD-R disk surface, relying on the other crystal. I transferred both with small paintbrush, and used wooden toothpick to make one crystal stand vertically. Background is blue paper, 10 shots averaged.
